“Re-pairing” represents my 30+ years of experience working with couples and my interest in Buddhist psychology to help people break through the impasses we experience in emotionally close relationships.
Disappointments, arguments, fights, feeling misunderstood and distant from one another, getting or giving the “silent treatment” – these dynamics are woven into our interactions with even the family and friends we love and care for the most.
We can learn to benefit from the inevitable challenges of intimacy rather than fear or avoid them, and find meaningful ways to “re-pair” and connect deeply again with significant others when silences, pressures, arguments and differences have taken their toll. Deeper listening leads to deeper understanding of ourselves and others, and can help us reconnect, while deepening our wisdom and compassion.
